Just when we thought that Carrie Prejean couldn’t make it any worse for herself — or let’s be honest, the country — she’s been given the right gift of retaining her title. U-S-A! U-S-A!
On a more serious note, after Donald Trump and his onion loaf left the Miss California title with Prejean, she said a few words.
Imagine our surprise to learn that Patton’s army fought the Battle of the Bulge so she could spew anti-gay rhetoric to big fat gay bloggers such as Perez Hilton! (We’ll bet you didn’t know that, either!) In roughly 45 seconds, she proved beyond any doubt just how stupid, ass-backward and wrongheaded she is. Here’s the video. Text and analysis after the jump.
She begins:
I am proud to be an American. I’m proud of the freedoms we enjoy because of the brave men and women serving this great country and who have served.
We’re glad you’re proud. We are, too. Mostly because we live in a country in which we can write what we’re about to write.
My grandfather served under General Patton during World War II and is someone I admire greatly. He never spoke about the Battle of the Bulge that he participated in as a rifleman or the honorary medals he received because of his bravery. But he did speak about the freedoms he fought for, and he taught me to never back down and never let anyone take those freedoms from you.
Um, what freedoms were taken from you? Oh, you’re getting to it. Sorry.
On April 19 on that stage, I exercised my freedom of speech. And I was punished for doing so. This should not happen in America. It undermines the constitutional rights for which my grandfather fought for.
To refresh your memory, Prejean exercised her freedom of speech by telling Perez Hilton that she believed thought marriage should be between a man and a woman. And now to the next point:
YOU’RE NOT BEING PUNISHED FOR EXERCISING YOUR FREEDOM OF SPEECH. YOU’RE BEING PUNISHED BECAUSE YOU’RE A STUPID BIGOT.
Does that clear it all up, you asshole? Your grandfather didn’t fight so that you could one day openly discriminate against gays. HE FOUGHT TO STOP HITLER’S ARMIES FROM TAKING OVER THE WORLD (not that by December 1944 they had a shot, but still).
And by the way, in doing so, whether he really wanted to, your grandfather also fought for Jews, blacks, gays and (insert group of people here). You’re doing the opposite of what your grandfather did. He tried — and apparently succeeded — to stop hate. You’re spreading hate and bigotry.
Punishing hate speech should absolutely happen in America (FU PC). We’re exercising our constitutional right to free speech by calling you names that you deserve to be called. We’re sure your grandfather would be proud of us. Oh, and nice grammar, too. Of course, this woman believes in Satan, so, like, talkin’ good isn’t exactly a priority.
Oh thank god she is allowed to keep the title! If she didn’t this would rank up there with WWF commish Jack Tunney stripping Andre the Giant/Ted Dibiase as one of the greatest travesties of all time! I can sleep now.

Excellent post. I wish Trump would have made an example out of her (despite whatever ammo that might give anti-gay rights groups), but then again, he’s a dirty old man. Maybe she and Palin will run together on the next Republican ticket. It would at least make for some great SNL skits.

If somebody can show me in the Constitution “the right to never be offended”, I’ll jump on the anti-”hate speech” bandwagon yesterday…Unfortunately, like most leftist-socialist jingoism, it doesn’t exist, and holds as much water as a cardboard box.
There is, however, a First Amendment, which guarantees people – ANYONE – to say whatever they like. If you don’t like it, you can refuse to see the movie/buy the book, sew the source for slander if you were the target of the insult, express an alternative opinion &c.
“Gay-rights” gimme-groupers and right-wing “Christian” Funny-mentalists are alike in their despotic, fanatical zeal to impose by force of law their beliefs on those who do not want them.

The 1st amendment guarantees that Congress can’t stop you from saying whatever you want to say. You’re talking about sensibility, not law. Jackass. Congress can’t stop me from publishing this blog, but wordpress.com has every right to remove it if they so choose. That’s the difference, which is clearly lost on you. If you want to tell Perez Hilton that he and all his gay buddies are unequal in your eyes, just be prepared to deal with the fallout if you utter that sentiment on national television.
