On the one hand, we want nothing more than to point at, laugh at, mock and make fun of the people who are going to town hall meetings and going full retard, complaining that the olds will be euthanized and that Sarah Palin’s precious babies will go before “death panels.” Of course, on the other hand, these people are dangerous, and we’d just as soon not mess with them — too much.
We’ve already seen members of Congress yelled at, shouted down, and hanged in effigy (stay classy, Maryland!). Then this morning, we got a throwback of sorts. It was as though we opened a beautiful time capsule from the Jim Crow South when we saw this headline in the AJC: “Congressman’s office tagged with Swastika”
Seriously, people, this happened. In America. Today.
A vandal spray-painted a large black swastika on the sign outside U.S. Rep. David Scott’s office in Smyrna.
The swastika was discovered this morning by an office worker.
Smyrna police are investigating, and the Democratic Congressman is on his way to the office, according to spokeswoman Jennifer Wright.
UPDATE: Not surprisingly, the folks over at Free Republic are saying Scott’s own office painted the Swastika.
