Alaskan ice gnome/prolific quitter Sarah Palin is back at it today. Not only did she set up a new Twitter profile (@SarahPalinUSA — because how else could she be simultaneously patriotic, completely predictable and retarded?), but she also sat back down at her PC to write on the Facebook. Ugh and ugh.
Fresh off seeing her claim of “death panels” debunked and calling for civility in the healthcare debate, Palin went full retard again — to no one’s surprise.
CNN’s political ticker has the details:
In a lengthy, annotated post, the former Alaska governor claims victory for the Senate Finance Committee’s decision to remove a provision creating end-of-life consultations from its draft legislation. Palin wrote last week that such a measure would establish “death panels” to evaluate elderly and infirm members of society — a claim that has been repeatedly debunked and even criticized by fellow Republicans.
Yay! A victory lap! Way to lead the fight against a fake thing! Way to defeat something that was put in the bill by another Republican! Maybe you should change your Facebook status. Something snarky, but hip would be good; something like: “Sarah is pouring out a 40 for the death of death panels.” Yeah, that’s perfect. The kids would love that.
It’s gratifying that the voice of the people is getting through to Congress,” Palin wrote late Thursday. “However, that provision was not the only disturbing detail in this legislation; it was just one of the more obvious ones.”
It was pointed out by Gawker yesterday, but we’d just like to pile on at this point. Know how we know Sarah Palin isn’t writing her own Facebook posts? She uses a semi-colon. Anyone out there think she has any idea what a semi-colon is or knows how to use it?
She writes that the plan making its way through Congress will “inevitably” lead to health care rationing. Pointing to an essay co-written earlier this year by White House health care adviser Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel — the brother of White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel — Palin claims the president wants to enact a rationing system that would “refuse to allocate medical resources to the elderly, the infirm, and the disabled who have less economic potential.”
Ugh. On its face, this claim is just so absurdly stupid that it doesn’t deserve any response. Really, is it even possible that a major political party would advocate withholding resources to the elderly, infirm or disabled? Does it make any sense that they’d judge patients based on economic potential? Who in his right mind would support a bill like that? No one would! No one! In fact, it’s worth mentioning that on the White House’s silly fact check website, they have an entire video up about this claim.
That said, here’s the best part:
Palin said she suspects the president favors such a system because he “has not yet stated any opposition” to that essay, but she offers no documentation that such a plan is actually included in the legislation being crafted in the House or Senate.
Know what else Obama hasn’t declared opposition to? Midget tossing, naked fun runs, hogging, tickle fights, white pants after Labor Day and pairing white wine with steak. So, I dunno, seems safe to assume he’s in favor of all that stuff. Oh, and Socialism.
This is fun, too:
Dr. Emanuel — an oncologist who studies end-of-life issues — told The Washington Times Thursday that he used to favor health care rationing, but no longer does.
Palin goes on to accuse the president of supporting a single-payer system, something he said as a state senator in 2003, but never mentioned during his presidential campaign or time in the White House.
Weird, right!? Even in the face of people saying they’re against things, Palin can tell their true feelings and predict their future actions. Maybe she should be president!
God, will someone stop her, please. She’s just so terrible.

Dumb shit Josh misses the point again (and the major news story of the quarter) – the public option is dead as of today 8/16. Call her what you may you half-baked “journalist” but Palin just crammed the entire democrat health care agenda down their throats……Gibbs is gone (Q: Is that a hedge? Gibbs: No, no, no) – dumb shit Gibbs. Buh bye.
Now sit back and watch the screw-loose “progressives” unleash their fangs on the gutless democrat fiesta and shred the entire platform. There’s a strong chance that not only do these guys lose their majority next year but that Barry is going to sit there for the next three years as the longest lame duck president we’ve seen since, ahem, i told you so, Hoover. Hat tip to the president, thanks for mobilizing the center!
