- Are you surprised? No! Any state that has a representative like Joe “I Hate Blacks” Wilson would certainly keep flying the Confederate flag at the State House. The debate over the flag in South Carolina is old and the people who want it flying are bigots, but they’re willing to discuss the flag with the NAACP. They’re just not willing to remove it. - Muammar el-Qaddafi — you know, Libya’s head crazy person — gives a speech at the United Nations and proves he’s still crazy. And he delays the rest of the days’ events. New York Times
- The FDA bans flavored cigarettes in an effort to curb teen smoking. Great idea, but until someone bans mom and dad telling kids not to smoke, kids will continue to smoke. New York Times
- Michael Vick is finally going to play football; still talks a lot of nonsense. Oh, and he’s still an asshole. New York Daily News
