The Olympics! Hooray!
From the luge to the triple sow cows to the Jamaicans in winter jackets, what’s not to love about the Winter Games?
Answer: Glenn Beck’s filthy lies.
More specifically: Glenn Beck’s filthy lies about the future.
Yeah, yeah, we all know crazy bi-polar man-child Glenn Beck is good for a laugh now and then as he blubbers away and cries about how Barack Obama is a racist. We also know that he’s fomenting hatred and pushing conspiracy theories to people too afraid to change the channel, let alone leave their caves.
Even for him, though, the latest attack was really…really ghey. Apparently Beck — like Michael Steele and John Boehner — is all worked up over Barack Obama’s trip to Copenhagen and his lobbying on behalf of Chicago’s Olympic bid. Beck thinks it’s a waste of money — not just the trip, but the Olympics in general.
Meh, maybe. Whatever.
How did he justify his assertion, though? Duh, lies. Check it:
Vancouver lost, how much was it? they lost a billion dollars when they had the Olympics.”
Some of Beck’s lies are tougher to knock down. This one, on the other hand, didn’t take more than one sentence on the White House’s fact check website:

Yes, the guy who can’t even process what’s going on in the present is now telling us what will happen in the future…with great certainty.
For the sake of being fair and balanced, we’re gonna give the White House another chance to respond. Oh, also, because Glenn Beck’s a dick.
Last night Fox News continued its disregard for the facts in an attempt to smear the Administration’s efforts to win the Olympics for the United States. In the past, hosting the Olympics has been a source of pride and unity for the country, but once again Fox News’ Glenn Beck program has shown that nothing is worthy of respect if it can be used as part of a partisan attack to boost ratings.

Do some research. Try checking out the Vancouver Sun. The Vancouver Olympics is ALREADY losing money.
And while the White House blog guy is at it, he should try refuting the Van Jones claims or the NEA claims or the ACORN claims.
Oh, that’s right. He can’t. But, he caught Beck saying Vancouver instead of Calgary. What a coup.
Oh, and nobody needs to smear this administration. They are doing it all on their own.
