Seriously, has there ever been a worse senator than Joe Lieberdouche?
Carol Moseley Braun? Jim Inhofe? Joseph McCarthy?
They all make good cases but for now we’re going with Joe Lieberdouche. Vinegar Joe has gone from mildly annoying to straight cold retarded. He said recently that he thought health care needed a vote in the Senate; he just couldn’t bring himself to allow that vote to happen. Um, what?
Well his new cause is figuring out what went down at Fort Hood. As reported on Monday by The Hill, Lieberman smartly says he doesn’t want to jump to any conclusions regarding the background or intentions of the shooter, Nidal Malik Hasan:
It’s premature to reach conclusions about what motivated him,” Lieberman said on “Fox News Sunday…”
So what does Lieberman do next? Seriously, guess.
YES! He jumps to conclusions!
[Lieberman] added that indications range from the major being under personal stress over an impending deployment to various reports that “he had turned to Islamist extremism.
“If that is true, then this was a terrorist act,” Lieberman said.
Lieberman, who for some inexplicable reason is still the chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, added that Hasan, “reportedly showed signs of being a ‘self-radicalized, homegrown terrorist.’”
Look, Lieberman may be right; Hasan may have been a terrorist. He may have unloaded his weapons as an act of terrorism — that’s entirely possible. But it’s incredibly irresponsible of someone like Joe Lieberman to jump to that conclusion before any facts are really known. But hey, that’s just Joe Lieberman for you: fanning the flames of fringe fanatical hate. JOEMENTUM!
