Actually, Sean Hannity didn’t say that.
Short version: Last week, “Hannity” aired a story about Michele Bachmann’s smallish November 5 rally against health care legislation. In that story, they inflated numbers of attendees by between 10,000 to 35,000. “Hannity” also mixed in footage of a Glenn Beck rally from September 12 (which was much larger than Bachmann’s), and therefore made Bachmann’s rally look as if she may have found 20,000 insane wackos to spout a bunch of nonsense about how they don’t want the government to pay for their rickets treatments.
Stewart and “The Daily Show” more or less called “Hannity,” Hannity and Bachmann a bunch of liars. Hannity offered a half-assed apology Wednesday night and sort of smugly owned up to being a total cocksucker.
Here’s the original call-out on “The Daily Show.”
