There are some who read this blog and think we ought — and the mainstream media ought — to stay away from covering Sarah Palin. And that commenter is probably correct. Sometimes we can’t ignore things, though, like this video we found on YouTube (after the jump).
The good news: We can’t know for sure, but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of “Gotcha!” action going on with this interviewer’s approach, which was to ask Palin supporters outside a Columbus, Ohio, Borders about her policies and agenda. The bad news: These people are just as absurdly uninformed, and often misinformed, as most other Palin fans. All joking aside, Palin’s dangerous because she appeals to the basest fears of disenfranchised white people. And we all know how scary white people can be when they’re angry about something.
Not even the best/worst quote: “We need good people like her that aren’t afraid to speak up for reality.” Yeah, OK.

I just watched this again and I just wish these people had the balls to say, “I like her because she’s white and I don’t like Obama because he’s black.”
Well shit. my jaw kinda fell to the floor in horror. Stupid stupid white people, the damned apocalypse is surely upon us if she gets in the race for 2012. I love how no one in this video has a brain and lists Fox News as their fact source. Oh how this video would bring the LOLs if only it wasn’t so scary…..
The girl who can’t say “entrepreneurial” is kinda hot. Too bad she’s more retarded than Trig.
who needs comedy central, when you have stuff like this to watch…
“I watch Fox news a lot.” Hmm, surprising.
Got a newfound respect for reporters: to be able to consistently nod at some of these explanations, and not give in to the urge of slapping these people and calling them idiots, must require some serious willpower.
It’s been awhile since I’ve been through Ohio. Wow, I didn’t know they had so many caves there. I especially like the fat dude in the camo-coat. Classic.
Ignorant people are everywhere in this great country. Unfortunately, Ohio’s on the caveman list.
We progressives and independants must educate ANYONE with a brain larger than a pigeon’s, or we’re in serious, serious trouble.
Depends how old – for younger children the comics and fiction books as they’ll wider their vocabulary and learn to read and write better – older children the tv as i think they’ll find it more interesting as now a days kids are only interested in screens! lol
