Didn’t seem possible. Then we read this:
ABC News plans to announce on Thursday that George Stephanopoulos will become an anchor of “Good Morning America” in a long-expected change that sees Diane Sawyer step up to head the U.S. network’s nightly news.
Holy…! There aren’t even words to describe how boring George Stephanopoulos is. Like, they haven’t been invented. Once you get past “ball-breakingly boring,” though, there admittedly isn’t much room to expand.
May we suggest a segment called “Stephanopoulos’s Garden,” in which George, in a throwback to the Tony Perkins days, gets together with Ringo Starr and talks about making children happy? It’ll be dull, probably, but all the baby boomers who still watch this pap (read: “Good Morning America”) may tune in to watch that segment.
Seriously, though. George has come a long way. Gone are the days when he’d interview someone and never deviate from his pre-written questions. He’s actually honed his journalism skills. But when the most interesting thing about the guy is a rumor that he doesn’t wash his hands after using the bathroom at work, you’re in trouble.
There’s also this news from ABC, via the New York Times:
Media reports have said Chris Cuomo, GMA’s news reader, is leaving and will be replaced by JuJu Chang. The Washington Post reported Cuomo, son of former New York Governor Mario Cuomo, will move to co-anchoring the ABC news magazine “20/20.”
JuJu Chang? Snoozefest! And with this announcement, “20/20″ will now be doing many more segments about sports and fewer segments about everything else.

oh, come on. he has blago hair; that’s a nice perk
blago hair! love it as an adjective!
