Take her latest crazy, insane, retarded, nutjob play: Insisting that the TOTALLY DEBUNKED DEATH PANEL THEORY IS ACCURATE. From Talking Points Memo:
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin repeated for the umpteenth time her thoroughly debunked claim that the health care reform bill includes “death panels.”
On Sean Hannity’s Fox News radio show yesterday, Palin said she “won’t back off” her claim, even though it was dubbed “Lie of the Year” by Politifact.com.
[Palin quote]: “If the health care bill goes the way Obama wants it, we’re gonna have something very much like foreign countries’ systems of health care like the British, and it’s the American people — if we have our health care paid for by the bureaucracy, by government — depending on our health condition, depending on our age — we’re gonna be subject to bureaucrats deciding, panels and commissions deciding — just like they do overseas — who will be worthy of receiving the health care that government is going to provide.So that is the death panel that I referred to, and I won’t back off on criticizing that aspect of the health care bill.” [End Palin quote.]
As the TPM story goes on to report, Politifact dubbed Palin’s death panel idea “Lie of the Year” in 2009. Of the YEAR! This is a year when Dick Cheney spoke publicly, and often!
Is this what it’s come to Fat America? It’s better to be a uneducated fucktard than someone with a college degree? It’s better to sit at home and watch “The Biggest Loser” while your waistline expands? It’s better to watch a “news” channel in which Brit Hume is openly proselytizing Christianity? It’s better to listen to Larry the Cable Guy make a lame joke with the punchline “Madder than a queer with lock jaw on Valentines Day” than listen to someone like David Cross? It’s better to get angry about the dumb politics of “Avatar” than just enjoy the movie on a purely visual level?
It’s better to listen to someone who failed her state than listen to all the experts who debunked her death panel claim?
