Here’s a pretty great video from Talking Points Memo. It juxtaposes Rudy Giuliani’s reaction to the State of the Union with things that were actually said the night before.
Our favorite side-by-side is this one:
Giuliani: “At a time when we are at war with Islamic terrorists — and notice once again, he never used that word.”
Obama: “Since the day I took office, we renewed our focus on terrorists who threatened our nation.”
So hey, next time you’re watching the most trusted name in TV news, maybe check and make sure that the people talking aren’t just straight cold making shit up.
