Rep. Bob Etheridge (D-NC) is a Blue Dog, and, apparently, a verifiable crazy person. This video is making the rounds, and it shows Etheridge just strolling down the street before straight cold grabbin’ and jabbin’ some young punk. Granted the youngster was pointing a camera in his face, and, refused to say where he was from or why he was taping — he just kept saying over and over that he’s a student and “just [there] for a project” — but that’s certainly no reason to coldcock a punk.
Strangely, though, their “project” ended up being posted by Larry O’Connor, who, according to his YouTube bio is a “regular contributor to Big Hollywood, Big Government & Big Journalism — Andrew Breitbart’s sites. So, hey, maybe Etheridge was right to wonder why two whippersnappers were pointing cameras in his face and asking if he supports the “Obama agenda.”
Still, slapping people around is wrong, especially if they’re douchebags with flip cams, and their goal is to get you to do or say something stupid so they can post it to a goddamn right-wing website. Christ Almighty, Bob Etheridge, WTF is wrong with you?
If I were a Democrat from North Carolina, I’d probably lose my cool a lot too. And that twit was annoying, with his lame “do you fully support the Obama agenda” crap. For the record, I fully support the Obama agenda, and I hope Bob Etheridge does too.
If the Israelis surprising the fuck out of an aid ship by ambush gets distain and criticism by other countries, then I’d say criticism is due to Breitbart’s looneys for ambushing a guy walking on a public street, recording his reaction to a stupid question. I’d be pretty goddamn pissed too if I were Ethridge, since the Dems can’t fart or scratch their ass without a right-winger’s nose being there to see if it has a slightly Kenyan aroma to it. Yes, Ethridge shouldn’t have done what he did, but only for his reputation. I’m sick and tired of Goper hypocrisy and the Tea Party lunacy in the news and it doesn’t even stop with a environmental disaster going on. But can you say Cheney + millions from offshore drillers=bedpartners for life? Why doesn’t Breitbart investgate his own party’s ass kissers?
