There are times on this site when we think we shouldn’t call Sarah Palin names because, you know, we have employers and eventually we’ll want to get new jobs somewhere else or get fired and then need to find a new job and someday a future employer will look at this website and say, “This person’s nuts. We can’t hire someone who’s NUTS.” (BTW, that’s what the Fat American people should say at the polls in 2012 when Sarah Palin runs for president on the Teabagger ticket.)

But then we see Palin’s stupid Luke Wilson jaw and her dumb, smug face and we lose our minds. She can’t DO ANYTHING BUT INCITE FEAR AND HATRED.

And you know what? She’s not entirely stupid because she’s smart enough to know that “blood libel” is a code phrase to anti-Semites across this country. She’s smart enough to know that it’s a wink to people who hate, people who eat up her garbage, people who just can’t stand that a black man is president.

This whole debate over whether a community center featuring swimming pools, basketball courts and an auditorium should be built near Ground Zero is really bringing out the best in America, right? Newt Gingrich has likened Muslims to Nazis, GOP candidates as far away as Florida and California are using the local zoning issue as a race-baiting means of collecting votes, and hundreds of people who can’t tell a Muslim from a black guy wearing a do-rag are flocking to the old Burlington Coat Factory to protest.

Head teabagger and not-at-all racist Mark Williams has already expressed his dismay at the fact that those dirty towelheads are building a temple to worship their evil monkey-god (“monkey-god” is a quote, btw, and “towelhead” is informed supposition) and now the rest of the fear-mongering right-wing pieces of shit have spoken up.

Back in December, when word about the proposal first surfaced, WorldNetDaily posted comments from outraged right-wingers, including: “If this is true, our beloved country is already gone. We no longer have the America I know and love.”

Yes! An America where you can openly tell brown people that you’re better than they are no longer exists. Sorry!

The Washington Times editorialized today that the proposal is “at best inappropriate, and at worst an attempt to hijack the memory of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.” The piece was approvingly tweeted this morning by Keep America Safe, Liz Cheney’s group.

False. Just false. No surprise that Liz Cheney is on this bandwagon.

Investor’s Business Daily judged that the plan is “a monumental sign of weakness. Right now, our enemy is laughing at us.”

One would think that letting Muslims build a mosque near a site destroyed by Muslims would be a sign of strength. You know, a we-know-you-technically-practice-the-same-religion-but-aren’t-extremists-so-here’s-your-board-approval kind of thing. But no. Showing any sort of tolerance is apparently weak. Sigh.

Robert Spencer, who runs “Jihad Watch,” wrote on Human Events: “The Twin Towers, after all, were the symbol of America’s economic power. Placing a mosque by the site of their destruction (at the hands of Islamic jihadists) symbolizes the taming of that power.”

What? How does one follow the other? That doesn’t even make sense.

Andrew McCarthy of the Weekly Standard noted on Fox, in opposition to the plan, that while there are 2,300 mosques in the United States, there are no churches or synagogues in Mecca or Medina.

Question: Are there American Christians clamoring to travel to Mecca so they can worship Jesus? Bleh.

Kentucky senatorial candidate Rand Paul said Tuesday he’s planning a campaign staff shake-up a week after a round of interviews in which he dismayed fellow Republicans by discussing his views on racial segregation.

Yikes. Paul should have done this months ago when the news broke that his spokesman, Chris Hightower, loves to hate blacks. Still, can’t blame a guy for trying to change his image. Worked for Nixon (not really).

Of course, the real danger for Paul will continue to be the lamestream media’s nasty practice of using his own words — in context — against him. Good luck, Dr. Paul! (We don’t really wish him good luck.)

Alabama this election cycle has an endless stream of insane candidates. They’ve spent the better part of the past few weeks trying to one-up each other with their love of guns, religion and huge fences along our southern border. From governor candidate Tim James, who insist that people in his state should only speak English, to agriculture commissioner candidate Dale Freakin’ Peterson, the farmer/businessman/MARINE DURIN’ VIETNAM who’s gonna shoot your crops if they don’t grow, Alabama has just about every spot on the lunatic fringe spectrum covered.

Phillip wants you to know that while Barack Obama was busy smoking reefer and going to school in MADRASSAS, Les Phillip was in the goddamn Navy straight cold blowing things up. Oh, and one more thing: good luck calling Les Phillip’s bizarre attacks on Obama racist! Why? Oh, no big thing…Les Phillip is BLACK! Right, because there are no racist black people.

Tea Party activists are riding to Arizona’s rescue in the state’s time of need.

Conservative activists recently launched a “Buycott”, urging people to support and do business with several Arizona-based companies, including US Airways, Best Western, and U-Haul. And others are planning a rally to “Stand With Arizona.”

Any group that would prop up a shitty corporation such as US Airways may not be a racist, but it certainly is made up of dumb, undiscerning sons of bitches. On the count of three, name a worse airline.

Ha! You can’t do it. Moving on:

Gina Loudon, a St. Louis-based Tea Party leader, who helped get the Buycott off the ground and is tracking its impact, told TPMmuckraker that it likely has generated “hundreds of thousands of dollars,” in spending for the companies involved, but said she hadn’t yet had a chance to count the receipts she’s been sent. “The numbers are probably astounding, as soon as I have time to add them up,” she said.

Loudon recently helped organize similar Buycotts of Ford and Whole Foods, after both companies came under fire from progressive activists. “I can’t imagine right now in this American economy that anybody wants a boycott of anything,” she said. “I think it’s incredibly destructive.”

Oh, forget it. This Arizona story gets more and more retarded every day. But the best part is the following statement from the “Stand With Arizona.”

Arizona is under heavy fire from the left-wing bullies for trying to protect its own citizens from the ravages of illegal immigration. The entire state is being attacked as ‘racist,’ ‘nazi’ and ‘extremist.’ (Sound familiar?) The left-wing bullies believe they can target, isolate and neutralize Arizona, and thereby pressure the people of Arizona to stop enforcing the law.
